Lion at the Gate

22K gold and 18K gold featuring sixty nine bezel set lapis lazuli bricks.Taking almost six months to complete,
this hand-fabricated brooch was influenced by the Ishtar Gate. The center lion was “hammered” out of a
single piece of 22K gold using the ancient technique of chasing and repousse. The back side of the lion may
be viewed through a hidden trap door on the reverse.
